INCLUSION & INTEGRATION
As new communities continue to grow—shaped by evolving geopolitical and economic factors—the need for cultural competence has increased in parallel.
Supporting integration today requires informed, adaptive, and culturally responsive approaches from both those settling into new environments and the professionals who work alongside them.
We have designed Practical Living & Cultural Integration, a dedicated training programme that supports asylum seekers, refugees, and individuals who have relocated—whether recently or several years ago.
The programme accelerates integration by equipping participants with cultural competence related to their host country and local community, research skills to access reliable and official
information, and practical knowledge relevant to both their present circumstances and long-term aspirations.
At the same time, the programme provides valuable insights for government and not-for-profit professionals.
Through a detailed end-of-programme report, organisations gain a clearer understanding of the challenges new communities face, key cultural dynamics, and which aspects of the system are most accessible—or most challenging—from the perspective of participants.
This dual approach strengthens integration, informs service delivery, and supports more inclusive policies and practices.
